About the Role
We are seeking a senior civil design engineer due to our growth. The ideal candidate has experience in a similar role within an engineering consultancy.
You will report directly to the directors of the business.
You will manage a civil design team of 3-4 people, including draftspersons and designers.There is a hands-on element to the position, looking for someone interested in project management, team management, and overseeing projects rather than being a technical design engineer.
You will work in a client-facing capacity, leveraging your expertise to bring in additional project opportunities through exceptional service and consultative approach with clients.This can lead to increased work through reputation.
You will work on various projects, including roads, drainage, stormwater management, bulk earthworks, driveways, and subdivisions.
Essential Skills
* A minimum of 7 years of experience working within civil design engineering
* Significant experience gained working in Australia
* Experience designing and managing projects with minimal supervision
* Understanding of local council requirements, DCPs, LEPs, SEPPs, etc.
* Undertaking regular coordination and interface with key clients and stakeholders
* Experience with civil engineering software
* Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* CPEng is highly regarded, as is working towards Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation
