**About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre**
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Stores Assistant to join us on a permanent full-time basis.
**The role**:
- Carries out procurement activities to maintain stock quantities
- Manages both inward and outward movement of stock whilst maintaining accurate inventory documentation.
- Is proactive with problem solving inventory issue as they arise
- Processes purchase orders in a timely manner
- Proactively tracks orders to ensure timely delivery
- Ensures all stock is put away as required
- Maintains a clear and tidy working areas in the bulk store, warehouse areas, gas room and receivals area
- Reviews the quality of purchased products
- Maintains updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Carries out stock takes to ensure timely and accurate counts of all stock and equipment
- Liaises with vendors to ensure the facilitiy is receiving the best possible pricing in accordance with the procurement policy.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a broad range of stock control in the Hospital setting is desirable.
- Ability to perform administration duties relating to stock control such maintaining stock levels, ordering, receiving and following up back orders for all Hospital supplies, along with basic financial controls and workplace health and safety.
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles and processes.
- Knowledge of Stock Control Systems.
- Pleasant and compassionate when dealing with the Patients, Public, Staff and Visiting Medical Officers.
- High level interpersonal and written skills
- Ability to work in an interactive environment as well as work with minim supervision
- Demonstrated computer literacy with MS Office and relevant databases.
