Kirinari Community Services have a fantastic opportunity to secure employment with a well‐recognised, rapidly expanding and essential support service!

We have several opportunities in the Central West region covering the Bathurst and Orange areas for Entry Level and Experienced Complex Disability Support Worker to join the Kirinari Complex Care Team. This team works across Out of Home Care (OOHC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and supports people who experience challenging behaviours with a focus on trauma informed care and trauma recovery.

Kirinari is a highly reputable and respected disability support service providing essential care and high‐quality support to enrich the lives of our customers. Kirinari employ over 1000 staff in various regions across VIC and NSW.

About the Position

The Complex Care Team provides services and supports to both OOHC / Voluntary OOHC and NDIS participants allowing a dual role across Youth and Disability Support. The Complex Disability Support Worker is responsible for developing, assisting and supporting clients in various locations such as houses, schools, hospitals, community centres and emergency accommodation on a daily basis.

This position works within Kirinari's strength‐based, non‐punitive, therapeutic model of care to provide safety to our clients while identifying and supporting growth needs. You will be working with a variety of different clients, of all age groups who will have complex trauma and behavioural support needs.

This position is open to applicants who are new to the industry or have experience across a range of support services including challenging behaviours and or high physical needs.

About You

* Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
* Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
* Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
* Complete a National Criminal History Check (paid by Kirinari)
* Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
* Smart Phone
* Current Driver's Licence
