Job Title: Field Lead - Carpenter
We are seeking an experienced Field Lead - Carpenter to join our team at Ventia.
About the Role
This is a key leadership position that will see you based at Larrakeyah Navy Base in Darwin NT.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide exceptional customer service and manage key stakeholders.
2. Supervise and coordinate building trades to maintain, repair, replace, and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract.
Key Accountabilities
1. Coordinate first response to emerging Estate Upkeep outages impacting Asset availability.
2. Implement and issue the Ventia Permit to Work System.
3. Participate in Subcontractor and Project Management Quality Control activities.
4. Coordinate site access, including inductions and escorts for Subcontractors.
5. Establish and maintain on-base liaison with key Client and Customer representatives.
6. Ensure accurate information entry into relevant systems.
7. Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Infrastructure Services Manager.
Requirements
* Trade or tertiary qualifications or experience in Carpentry, Building, Plumbing, or a related field.
* Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Strong ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn computerised software.
* Desirable: proficiency in the Permit to Work System and qualifications in a high-risk discipline.
* Australian Driver's Licence required.
