Bell Textron Australia offers a safe workplace with opportunities for training and personal development.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).Ensure tasks and duties are accomplished as per Bell Textron Australia Policies and Procedures.Ensure smooth workflow on assigned jobs with minimal disruptions by effective use of allocated manpower and resources.Aircraft work packs and log book entries are completed in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.AMRs are raised at the time of identification of additional work and are accurate.Track progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.Provide directions to apprentices to assist them to meet budgets and delivery schedules.Implement remedial action to correct project overruns.Provide input into parts ordering for assigned projects to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times.Regular review of project documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.KEY RESULT AREAS: Quality, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure maintenance performed on aircraft under his/her control is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.Provide input into the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement.Actively participate in company WH&S program.Actively participate in the company safety management system.Operational management of apprentices providing clear directions for maintenance or modification of aircraft allocated to him/her.Commercial ManagementDaily management and control of aircraft assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.Ensure adequate resources are available for timely completion of maintenance and projects.Ensure spare parts are ordered at correct times to meet project deadlines while maintaining appropriate cost structures within MRO.Review job packs for assigned projects to ensure completeness and alignment with customer requirements.Review daily reporting on estimated versus actual hours and take corrective actions as needed.Request AMRs for additional work through the Engineering Services department.Provide completed jobs to Engineering Services for log book processing and invoicing upon project completion.Sales and Customer ManagementProvide regular updates to the Maintenance Supervisor on maintenance progress.Assist in responding to customer queries and complaints.Regulatory and ComplianceEnsure maintenance on assigned aircraft complies with Civil Aviation regulations for VH registered aircraft or equivalent for foreign registered aircraft.Record and notify any inaccuracies or ambiguities in maintenance data used by personnel to the Maintenance Supervisor.Use company resources judiciously and demonstrate good judgment.Maintain personal conduct in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.PERSONAL QUALITIESGeneral knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Strategic Thinking.Customer Focused.Results Focused.Proactive and Self-motivated.Team Player.Honest and demonstrate integrity.Dependable and reliable.Neat personal appearance.High attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS RequiredExperience in aircraft maintenance, especially structural repairs, heavy maintenance, and modifications.Understanding of aviation regulatory requirements and standards.Basic computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.Structural repair and modification experience within the scope of Bell Textron Australia's CAR 30 and Part 145 certificates.Experience in a similar organizational scope and size.
