Operating Theatre Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Theatre Assistant.
About the role
The successful candidate will assist nursing, medical and surgical staff within the 14 Operating theatre complex, ensuring a safe and efficient work area. This will involve frequent and repetitive lifting, manual handling of medical equipment and patients. Appropriate manual handling training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to work am and pm shifts.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres
* Support nurses and surgeons with patient care and management
* Participate in handovers and communication with other departments
* Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
* Mandatory qualifications: registration and certification
* Highly regarded: previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in manual handling
* Ability to perform roles of an Operating Theatre Assistant
