The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced P&C Specialist Advisor to join our global team yet located in the Cochlear Brisbane Operations office (Newstead). This role plays a key part in enabling Cochlear's culture and business priorities by delivering specialist policy, governance and process advice to Senior leaders, people managers and employees, located in Australia.


Responsibilities include yet are not limited to:

* Managing complex employee relations cases including performance and conduct.

* Providing specialist policy, governance, and process advice across the employee lifecycle

* Providing SME injury management and recovery-at-work processes, particularly within the QLD jurisdiction

* Providing risk-based specialist advice in collaboration with the Employment Relations and WHS teams.

* Driving continuous improvement in service delivery and internal customer experience

To be successful in this role you will be a confident and thoughtful advisor who thrives in complexity. You will make sound, timely decisions grounded in policy, legislation, and empathy-especially when navigating sensitive employee relations or injury management cases. You're comfortable with ambiguity and adapt quickly, always maintaining composure and professionalism. You hold yourself and others accountable, ensuring outcomes are delivered with integrity and in line with organisational standards.

You will need to demonstrate experience in:

* Managing complex employee relations cases including performance and conduct matters
* Providing specialist policy, governance, and process advice
* Facilitating injury management and recovery-at-work processes
* Supporting organisational change through risk-based advice
* Driving continuous improvement in service delivery and internal customer experience
* Using data to inform prioritisation and monitor trends
* Collaborating across teams to scale consistent global solutions

Something extra to grab our attention

You'll stand out if you bring experience managing psychological injury cases, and navigating complex scenarios within a global or matrixed organisation. Certifications such as Return to Work Coordinator Training, Mental Health First Aid, or a Diploma in Work Health and Safety will be highly regarded.
