Description
As our Senior Financial Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. From managing the month-end close to delivering consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and currencies, you'll help drive compliance with IFRS standards while supporting the business with actionable insights.
This role offers the perfect balance of hands-on accounting, stakeholder engagement, and opportunities to lead process improvements in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
This is a hybrid role based in our Brisbane Office 3 days and WFH 2 days.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
* Lead or support group consolidations in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
* Partner with external auditors and ensure smooth, efficient audit processes.
* Uphold strong internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and analysis.
* Contribute to process improvement projects including ERP enhancements.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to guide decision-making.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
* CA ANZ or CPA qualification (essential).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in public practice, including 2+ years in a large-firm audit environment.
* At least 1 year of commercial accounting experience in a corporate/industry role.
* Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience in financial consolidations.
* Advanced Excel skills with comfort handling large datasets.
* Sharp attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.
* Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Bonus points if you have:
* Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
* Exposure to SaaS, subscription-based revenue, or deferred revenue recognition.
