ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are looking for a motivated, passionate and suitably qualified individual to join Council's bush regeneration team. Reporting to the Supervisor Bush Regeneration, this role offers the opportunity to work as part of a small, dedicated team delivering bushland rehabilitation and vegetation management activities that protect and enhance the Shire's natural environment and biodiversity.
Working closely with the Supervisor, you will play an active role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of on-ground works while also assisting with the training and mentoring of junior team members. This position contributes to fostering a positive team culture and ensuring the team's goals and environmental outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This position is a temporary appointment for up to 12 months.
To be successful you will bring

* Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in bush regeneration with the ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.
* Proven good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
* Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablet, iPhone) applications.
* First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
* Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.
* Current Chemical Application certificate.

* An annual salary range of of $63,300 to $72,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
