Job Title: Energy Optimisation Specialist
We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as an Energy Optimisation Specialist. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our Engineering and Energy Solutions team to develop innovative solutions that reduce connection barriers and lower electricity costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and refine energy solutions for our EV network, including charging infrastructure, energy storage, and renewable energy sources.
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for energy projects.
* Optimise the performance of our energy and charging solutions, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions.
* Provide technical support for the ongoing management and growth of our network, including owning the testing and validation of charger software.
* Analyse options for new connections and apply site-specific solutions to address connection challenges, such as analysing new connection offers from embedded networks.
* Aide in the development of automated systems to support the operational network and streamline processes.
* Support the management of existing power connections and energy supply arrangements, including validating monthly energy bills and identifying cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements:
A Degree or Higher-Level Qualification in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
At least 1+ years of experience in engineering or background in similar field (e.g. Energy, Telco, Power, Infrastructure, Motor Vehicle or Similar).
Excellent problem-solving, business intuition, and communication skills.
A passion for sustainability and a keen interest in automation and optimisation.
The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Strong understanding of data analysis methods and statistics.
Mathematical and Financial modelling experience.
Proficiency with business intelligence and visualisation tools (e.g. Microsoft BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Matlab or Domo).
Knowledge and interest in EV's and power electronics.
Strong understanding of network management principles.
A keen interest in the potential of AI in the energy space.
