Senior Commercial role | Landmark Infrastructure Project | Melbourne
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Commercial Manager to join a newly established project team delivering a major, multi-billion dollar infrastructure project in Melbourne.
This is a central role in the day-to-day administration of a Design & Construct contract on one of the most significant infrastructure developments currently underway in Australia. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will be the primary point of contact for all contract submissions and correspondence, ensuring that both the Principal and Contractor fulfil their rights and obligations under the D&C Contract.
This isn't a role about making every determination yourself, it's about making sure the right decisions are being made, by the right people, at the right time, and in strict accordance with the Contract.
What you'll be doing:
* Central administration of a major D&C contract, ensuring all processes, correspondence and submissions are managed within required timeframes
* Reviewing and advising on contractual claims, notices and variations
* Managing the Monthly Progress Payment regime in accordance with Security of Payment obligations
* Liaising closely with the delivery team to ensure site operations remain contractually compliant
* Drafting correspondence for review and approval by senior leadership
* Supporting governance reporting requirements
What you'll bring:
* Solid experience as a Commercial Manager or Contract Administrator on large-scale infrastructure projects
* Familiarity with AS4000 series D&C contracts
* Experience on multi-billion dollar projects e.g. transport, civil, utilities or similar complex infrastructure
* A legal or commercial background is advantageous, though this is not a legal advisory role
* Strong commercial aptitude with the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, values-driven team
