As a Senior Account Executive, you'll support the Team Leader with their client portfolio, manage your own book of clients, and play a key role in driving retention and growth. You'll provide expert insurance advice, ensure clients are fully briefed on market trends, and build strong, enduring relationships with clients and insurers alike.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients with an emphasis on profitable growth and retention
* Provide personal advice on all insurance matters and present tailored solutions
* Maintain regular contact with clients via phone, email, and in-person visits
* Support new business development through referrals, leads, and prospecting
* Negotiate terms with insurers and prepare proposals, renewals, and quotes
* Handle client complaints professionally, ensuring timely and fair resolution in line with regulatory requirements (RG 271)
* Stay up-to-date with insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements (RG 146 compliance)
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and insurers to develop cost-effective solutions for clients
About You
* Tier 1 Insurance Broking essential
* 3 to 5 years insurance experience at a brokerage
* Personable and driven personality; this role is suitable to someone who is eager to grow and develop their career.
* Strong knowledge of insurance products, legislation, claims processes, and broking compliance
* Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide excellent service
* Confident negotiator and persuasive communicator with solid problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive in identifying client needs and opportunities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
