**The Department**
The Finance Program provides financial and ancillary services to Alfred Health. These include Financial Accounting, Financial Services, Data and Analytics, Performance Monitoring and Reporting, Capital Expenditure and Asset Management, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Patient Revenue Services, Treasury, HRIS and Payroll, Procurement, Property and Supply Chain.
**The Role**
This position is Revenue Optimisation Project Lead to support both the Finance Department and wider Alfred Health departments. This role is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects including understanding the business needs and employs a project-based approach to problem solving and decision making for business improvement delivery as well as financial analysis as required. The Revenue Optimisation Project Lead is a key operational role responsible and accountable for assisting the Senior Manager Revenue and Projects and help deliver major organisational projects efficiently using best practice project management methodologies.
This role is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects including the planning, development and implementation of project plans, policies and solutions as well as financial analysis as required.
**Skills**
- Broad project management knowledge and experience
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong relationship building skills across all levels of a large organisation.
- Ability to cooperate effectively within a team and work collaboratively across different Programs to achieve work plan and goals.
- Ability to think through challenging problems and determine and implement subsequent solutions.
- Attention to detail and solid organizational skills and being able to manage the project's details effectively
- Ability to understand the wider financial context of actions both across the broader finance team and in relation to Alfred Health and patient service focus.
- Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, including strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
- Demonstrated commercial / finance acumen and business understanding.
- Commitment to lead change and producing high quality work in agreed timeframes and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Highly developed professionalism and personal motivation.
- Experience in developing and managing a high performing team.
- Knowledge of finance software solutions, and business requirements for a large, complex health service.
- Ability to meet deadlines by being proactive, adopting a 'can-do' approach, driving work plans, identifying and addressing issues and taking responsibility for actions.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and maintain progress in multiple activities running concurrently.
