Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by a leading Consumer Healthcare organisation to source a Brand Manager for their Sydney based Marketing team. Reporting into the Marketing Director, this role is tasked with developing and managing plans to build brand equity across two key brands whilst implementing and monitoring planned marketing activities including new product development, brand communications and promotional activities. The role would be ideal for a Brand Manager with exposure to the Consumer Healthcare Channel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Based on thorough market assessment/analysis develop and document the strategic direction of the brands via annual Brand Plans.
* Develop and implement marketing communication strategies (creative & media).
* Conduct regular investigations, analysis and assessments of existing brand, market context, perceptions, budget allocation, performance and competitive landscape.
* Anticipate future opportunities and areas for brand improvement.
* Develop, implement, manage & review channel-specific marketing activities.
* Provide expert opinion into new product development concepts and processes.
* Provide subject matter advice and knowledge transfer to other employees as required.
* Manage assigned agencies and suppliers to budget and agreed performance parameters.
* Preparation and distribution of reports on activities, outcomes and recommendations.
* When managing licensed brands, represent the organisation with integrity, maintain strong relationships with brand owners, handling communications and reporting requirements.
Key Requirements:
* Well-developed brand marketing and product management experience, ideally in the Consumer Health sector.
* Demonstrable experience improving brand performance as measured by accepted industry standards (Product Sales, Share and Profit Performance).
* Demonstrable experience providing reports on activities, outcomes and recommendations.
* Demonstrable success collaborating to create viable new product development concepts.
* A good understanding of advertising and media strategy development, packaging, pricing and the product development process
* A basic understanding of financial analyses such as profit and loss statements, financial decision making methods and marketing expense control methods
* Commercial and sales acumen
* Expert creative judgment and skills
