About the Role
Due to continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced workshop-based CNC/Manual Machinist for a permanent full-time position based in Lisarow on the Central Coast of NSW.
This role involves working in a job shop with varied and non-repetitive tasks, including manufacturing components from samples, creating new parts to engineering tolerances and standards.
You will be part of a team dedicated to refurbishing pumps, gearboxes, compressors, blowers and ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to OHS policies and procedures.
* Support maintenance activities by providing mechanical workshop services in the areas of fitting and machining.
* Operate a variety of equipment including Siemens CNC Horizontal Borer, Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Radial Drills, Manual Horizontal Borer and General Hand Tools.
* Provide quality workmanship in accordance with Australian Standards.
Requirements
* Trade or Engineering Certificate.
* 1st Class Machining Certificate.
* At least 5 years post-trade experience preferred.
* Able to read and understand G-Code.
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience with Siemens, Fanuc or Fagor Controls highly desirable.
* Ability to independently set up jobs dialing up to datums including manufacture jigs/tooling.
* Utilise or working towards proficiency in CADCAM systems highly desirable.
* Ability to work to tight tolerances.
* Ability to read precision measuring equipment.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Good time management skills.
* Able to work overtime as required.
* Good communication skills.
* Self-starter attitude required.
