About the role

As the Senior Administration Officer, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the Pharmacy Administration section, delivering high-level, confidential administrative, secretarial and reception support that keeps operations running smoothly and efficiently. Working under the guidance of the Office Manager, you will be a trusted professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing competing priorities while providing polished, responsive support to the broader Division. This is a role for someone who takes pride in professionalism, discretion and attention to detail, and who enjoys being a key point of connection across a busy and complex service.

You will also provide high-level Executive Officer support to the SALHN Drug and Therapeutics Committee and the Formulary Implementation Committee, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams at a state-wide level. Your work will be varied and impactful, ranging from preparing educational materials, reports and briefing notes, to supporting research and projects through data collection and analysis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to decision-making, service improvement and the resolution of complex and sensitive issues, while supporting pharmacy staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.


About You

You are an experienced and highly capable administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced, confidential and collaborative healthcare environment.

* Proven experience delivering high-level administrative and executive support, including committee secretariat, reporting, minute taking and senior management assistance
* Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
* Highly proficient in MS Office and office systems, with excellent attention to detail, sound keyboard skills and the ability to analyse issues and apply judgement
* Professional, adaptable and resilient, demonstrating discretion, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement, governance and public sector standards
