Job Summary
We are seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of the City Growth department, you will be responsible for assessing and processing building applications, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes, and providing high-level customer service.
This role requires:
* Assessing and processing building applications
* Liaising with applicants, builders, and owners throughout the application process
* Answering internal and external queries regarding legislative and National Construction Code requirements
* Addressing unauthorized building works
To succeed in this position, you will need:
* A formal qualification in building surveying, along with comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
* Interpersonal skills for liaising with members of the public
* Ability to work autonomously and accept accountability and responsibility for actions
