Project Architect
to join our in-house team and take ownership of design delivery from concept through to construction.
Role Description
This is a full time, on-site role for a Project Architect at Austk Construction Pty Ltd. The role is located in Gold Coast, QLD. The Project Architect will be responsible for managing all phases of architectural projects, including design, documentation, and construction administration. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing project drawings, preparing and reviewing submittals, coordinating with consultants, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. The role also involves ensuring adherence to sustainability standards. Familiar with development and documentation of townhouse projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist to prepare and coordinate DA, BA, and construction documentation submission.
Liaise with consultants, engineers, and authorities to ensure compliance and approvals.
Conduct site inspections and provide design support during construction.
Ensure all designs meet planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
Collaborate with internal development and construction teams to ensure buildability and cost-efficiency.
Manage project timelines, documentation quality, and consultant coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Architect (or eligible for registration in Queensland).
3-5 years of experience, with a strong focus on residential or townhouse projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of BCA/NCC, local planning schemes, and construction detailing.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
