About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join BCES Electrical Group as the business enters a new phase under new ownership and management. With a strong and growing pipeline of work, we are expanding our team and looking for:
* A qualified tradesman,
* A first-year apprentice, and
* A current apprentice seeking a new opportunity.
It's an exciting time at BCES as we continue to specialise in EV charging infrastructure while expanding further into commercial electrical work.
As a qualified electrician, you'll have the autonomy to run your own projects, supported by an engaged director and a full suite of modern technology. We use Aroflo as our job management system, ensuring clear communication, efficiency, and transparency across all works.
This is a full-time position based in Ballarat, Victoria.
What You'll Be Doing
* Install, maintain and repair EV charging stations (private and public)
* Domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations and maintenance
* Commercial electrical projects
* Civil infrastructure works including trenching, pit installations, concreting and associated tasks
* Ensure all works comply with Australian Standards, regulations and safety requirements
* Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality outcomes
What We're Looking For
* Qualified A-Grade Electrician and/or apprentice electrician
* Experience with EV charging infrastructure and/or solar PV (advantageous)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
