**Primary purpose of the position**:
The primary purpose of this position is to optimise the Sydney's Commercial Portfolio by increasing revenue from commercial activities to support the City in achieving its strategic, financial, sustainability and social objectives, delivering against defined KPI's including social, financial, sustainable performance and customer experience.
- The Commercial Property Manager is also required to manage the delivery and approval of the day-to-day management of the Property Management Service Provider for the administration and management of the Commercial Portfolio to ensure the delivery of on-going commercial benefit to the City.**Role accountabilities include**:
- Develop, manage and review the Commercial portfolio's objectives to ensure that all acquisition, retention and disposal of assets meet the City's strategic priorities and understand the need to adjust when priorities change while achieving budget and meeting relevant KPI's.
- Provide high-quality advice and regular business reporting for all aspects relating to the Commercial Portfolio to inform adequately and contribute to policies and strategies across the City as well as enhance business processes, problem-solving and issue resolution
- Oversee the Property Management Service Provider for the delivery of all property management services, including all matter relating to lease agreements and identifying potential opportunities for leasing arrangements that assist the City's in achieving Sydney 2050 strategic vision.
- Development and manage a general property risk assessment register within the Commercial Portfolio and include appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure the all risks associated with the Commercial portfolio are minimised and when necessary communicate to the Commercial Portfolio Manager for inclusion in Unit's risk matrix.
**Essential knowledge, skills & experience**:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or **significant experience in commercial and strategic property portfolios, and/or commercial property management**, or other relevant discipline.
- ** Demonstrated experience in successfully managing portfolio strategy** and customer relationship management in a similar role.
- Developed ability to manage a range of stakeholders including senior Property Management Service Provider personnel.
- Highly developed commercial skills with sound understanding of property, finance, legal and marketing principles and experience in the implementation of property commercial strategies.
- High attention to detail, robust analytical, reasoning and conceptual skills with the ability to analyse information and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Highly developed communication skills
- Demonstrate a high level of honesty, integrity and ethical behaviour.
