Overview: Si Paradiso is a relaxed dining destination situated in Highgate, Western Australia.
Our venue is a multi-faceted space that consists of a vibrant restaurant, and an incredible outdoor courtyard & amphitheatre space.
We celebrate high quality food, produce led, and an ever-evolving seasonal menu with pizzas & plates.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.
This crucial leadership role is responsible for the full operational, financial, and cultural performance of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
This position is a full-time position based in Highgate, WA ****.
Main Tasks:
Determine kitchen targets and goals, manage all kitchen expenses, and control labour costs against the budget.
Create and develop menus, and prepare, cook, and serve food, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
Provide regular performance feedback and actively promote a positive team environment.
Ensure full compliance with all statutory legislation, including food handling and the Food Act/Regulations.
Minimise waste through careful supervision of food rotation and preparation methods.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
Minimum of a relevant Diploma.
At least a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
A solid understanding of the Food Act, Food Regulations, and Health Act.
An awareness of nutritional information and eating/food trends.
Good stress management, with an ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Annual salary will be between $85,****** to $95,****** (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
