Role Description
When you are successful in this role, you'll have the joy of achieving increased participation in our monthly giving program and ensuring supporters experience respectful, faith-aligned conversations that strengthen their connection to Tearfund. You will contribute to a movement of Christians responding to the root causes of poverty and injustice.
This casual role will play a critical part in Tearfund's supporter engagement strategy and mission to equip communities to flourish. The role is expected to be an average of 15 hours per week, spread across 3-5 weekdays by negotiation for March and April 2026.
Position Location
A mix of remote work and at Tearfund National Office in Blackburn, Melbourne.
What will you need
* Active Christian faith and strong commitment to Tearfund's mission and values.
* Demonstrated ability to encourage others in their faith and justice journeys and influence support for global poverty initiatives.
* Confidence and professionalism in phone-based communication, including initiating outbound calls and building rapport quickly.
* Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as collaboratively within the Communications and Marketing Team.
* Ability to maintain data integrity, ensuring supporter records (such as Salesforce) are accurate and current.
* Knowledge and experience in fundraising, tele-fundraising, or engaging with the Australian Christian community (highly regarded).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide regular reporting on call activity and outcomes.
* Flexibility to work at mutually agreed times, including potential engagement with stakeholders in different time zones.
* Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
