Murray Veterinary Services Equine hospital is a dedicate Horse only Veterinary hospital based in West Coolup WA. We are 25 minutes from Mandurah and service the region from serpentine to Bunbury. We have a purpose-built Equine hospital in a beautiful rural setting. Our focus is exceptional patient and client care and delivering the very best in Equine medicine, reproduction and surgery. We have 9 veterinarians and 30 support staff who work both in the hospital and in the field.
We are looking for a part time reception/administration person to join our current team of 5 admin staff. Working an average of 21-24 hours in 4-day week and one in 4 Saturday morning
About the roll
· Ensuring that every clients interaction with our practice is a positive one – You will be the first and last point of contact for most clients and impressions count.
· Responsible for taking calls and answering email enquires
· Appointment booking and vet scheduling
· Admission and discharge of patients
· Providing support and assistance for consultations
· Collection of information required for consultations
· Data entry of veterinary records while upholding client confidentiality
· Generation of invoices and billing management
· Entry of supplier invoices and updating stock details
· Processing online store purchases
· Generation and follow up of patient reminders
· Processing of payments and accounts
· Any other administrative duties as directed by the office manager
Who we are looking for
· Some one who wants to make a positive difference every day and realise that client care is the most important aspect of our business.
· At least 2 years' experience in customer service – medical or veterinary reception work would be looked at favorably
· Some on with a good attention to detail takes the time to ensure all client and patients details are correct, information and paperwork required for consults and admissions are complete.
· Keep a neat, tidy and organised work space, the reception is the first impression of our hospital.
· Some one who is resourceful, if unsure of how to perform a task will make it their mission to find out how rather than leave the task undone
· Some one who can work independently unsupervised with excellent organisation and time management skills
· Some one who is a team player and can engage cooperatively with veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
· Someone who has an interest in horses or the horse industry – this is not essential but you need to be willing to learn as horses are out business.
