As a gallery attendant, you will be responsible for undertaking guided tours of the museum as needed. You will also perform duties in allocated galleries, as per your roster. Your key responsibilities will include meeting and greeting visitors, interacting with members of the public, and answering their questions as required.
You will be expected to direct visitors to appropriate facilities, such as restrooms, water fountains, and seating areas. Additionally, you may be asked to perform other duties as directed by management.
All volunteers begin as museum attendants to familiarize themselves with processes. Other positions may become available after completion of training.
The role of volunteers is essential in enhancing museum activities and providing programs and services that would not otherwise be available.
