Overview
Epiroc is hiring a Business Development Manager based in Burnie.
This is a key position within the Epiroc sales organisation, providing customers with productive and innovative equipment and support solutions that represent longer term sustainable value for their business bottom line.
Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will assume responsibility for leading our efforts with a defined group of mining and civil customers located across Western Australia.
The role will act as the primary customer contact, owning the customer relationship, while providing a conduit between Epiroc's other invested business disciplines and our customer's operating sites and corporate business teams.
You will demonstrate knowledge and experience of the industry with the ability to identify specific application understanding and to work through multiple facets of the customers' requirements to offer viable and workable solutions, which result in market and sales pipeline growth.
You will need a demonstrated ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external business stakeholders and promote the solutions and capabilities of Epiroc as a whole.
By thinking differently and approaching work with a self-disciplined, methodical focus you will prioritise and manage tasks effectively to succeed in your role.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to find common ground with people approaching projects from differing perspectives
Ability to make decisions within set parameters, and the confidence to deliver information to various levels within both Epiroc and the customer's organisations
Background in and understanding of business development, account management or general sales
Technical aptitude - not required to be an expert in machinery, but a solid understanding of technical considerations is important
Willingness to undertake extensive travel
Exposure to mining and related industries is well-regarded
Competitive nature - desire to succeed for your customer, yourself and Epiroc
Advantageous if you can read and speak Mandarin
