What You Will Do
You will work on cyber assurance activities for private cloud services, data centers and networks in Australia. You will recommend security controls and evaluate systems according to Defence Security Principles Framework and Australian Cyber Security Center guidelines.
Your role will involve identifying security friction points and resolving them across teams. You will also support Google's Defence Industry Security Program by maintaining a compliant security program.
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for holding the role of Security Officer for Google Australia's Defence Industry Security Program membership.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct or lead cyber assessments aligned with Defence Security Principles Framework standards.
* Support review of security controls and development of documentation.
* Engage with government to guide customers on assessment and authorization journey.
* Maintain knowledge of frameworks and regulatory landscape.
* Perform DISP Security Officer role supporting maintenance of Defence Industry Security Program obligations.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
* 8 years of customer-facing experience including executive stakeholders and IT technical implementations, transformation programs or related initiatives.
* Experience in Cloud Professional Services organizations, IT consulting or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certification in IRAP qualifications or Certified Auditor qualification such as SANS, ISO 27001, CRISC.
* Experience with DISP Security Officer, PSPF and Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) training.
* Excellent partner management, follow-through, resource management and communication skills.
