We are currently seeking;
* Part-time Nurse Educators for face to face delivery.
Nursing trainer & assessors (Nurse Educators) to join our Academic team to deliver Diploma of Nursing program in our Perth campus.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Nurse Educator will provide academic leadership in delivering specific units of study in the Diploma of Nursing program. Duties may include, facilitating student learning through teaching and learning activities, marking of assessment, conducting simulated based assessments, and undertaking clinical assessments for practical placements. They liaise with students, support staff, other educators and report to the relevant Course Coordinator.
Your role may include:
* Lesson planning and Course delivery
* Reviewing available resources to plan lessons
* Conducting simulated & practical placement assessments
* Resource and assessment tool validation (as required)
* Associated administrative tasks
* Supervision and assessment of students on placement in aged care facilities and hospitals
* Undertake PD + maintain industry currencies
Skills and Knowledge
What you need:
* Bachelor or Master Degree in Nursing (required)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor
or
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and
TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B
or
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
* Minimum 1 years' experience in a clinical setting, as RN Div1 (required)
* Current experience in teaching Nursing or other related health courses (highly desirable)
* In-depth understanding of ASQA/ANMAC regulatory guidelines and standards (highly desirable)
Please note successful candidates are required to have the following checks:
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one
* Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one
