The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, testing, and commissioning of large marine & industrial HVAC chillers & refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot reactive breakdowns and complete repairs on marine & land-based equipment
- Overhaul and repair of large chiller compressors
- Clean and maintain large water-cooled condenser tubes
- Handle electrical fault-finding, safety testing, and component replacement
- Analyse refrigeration performance using superheat, subcooling, and other key indicators
- Assist in design and installation of temporary chilled water systems
- Maintain accurate timesheets & service reports

- Experienced HVAC Technician with strong attention to detail
- Passionate about the marine industry, eager to learn & grow
- Problem solver with excellent fault-finding skills
- Hands-on & proactive with a strong safety-first mindset
- Able to work both independently & as part of a team
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
Essential Requirements
- Cert III in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Restricted Electrical Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Valid Australian driver’s license
- Unrestricted Australian work rights
- Ability to pass an AFP police check
Preferred (But Not Essential)
- Diploma in Refrigeration System
- 5+ years of experience in the trade
- Previous marine or offshore HVAC experience
