About the role
As a Senior Solicitor / Associate, you will play a key role in leading and managing matters across all aspects of family law, including parenting, property, divorce, domestic violence, child safety and child support.
You will be supported by a capable team, allowing you to focus on delivering strategic, high-quality outcomes for your clients.
Your responsibilities will include
* Managing a varied caseload of complex family law matters from initial consultation through to resolution
* Providing clear, practical, strategic and compassionate legal advice and representation
* Preparing and filing court documents, appearing at court events, and conducting negotiations
* Collaborating with the wider legal team to ensure efficient and effective case management
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior lawyers, law clerks, and paralegals
* Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm
About you
You are a confident, experienced family lawyer who brings both technical expertise and emotional intelligence to your practice.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, value integrity and professionalism, and are genuinely passionate about helping clients navigate challenging circumstances.
You will ideally have
* A minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in family law
* Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act, case law, and Federal Circuit and Family Court procedures
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
* An ability to manage complex caseloads with organisation and composure
* A client-centered mindset, balancing empathy with strategic precision
* An interest in mentoring and supporting others
* Full Australian working rights
* Availability to work from our Toowoomba office (desirable but not crucial)
