About This Role
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital by responding to incidents, de-escalating challenging situations, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams and law enforcement agencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to alarms and supervise key areas to ensure the hospital operates smoothly.
* Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors by addressing aggressive incidents and challenging behaviors.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
* Work collaboratively as part of the security team to support frontline healthcare professionals in daily operations.
Requirements
* Holding a current NSW Security Industries License 1A and nationally recognized current First Aid Certificate or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organization is essential.
* Previous experience in the security industry as a security officer is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to manage aggressive incidents, challenging behaviors, and respond to duress situations effectively.
* Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and function effectively as a member of a team.
* Possesses effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of staff, patients/clients, and members of the public.
