Apex Building Products is seeking a motivated and experienced Customer Service Manager to lead our internal Sales and Customer Service team at our Brisbane branch.
In this key leadership role, you will ensure our customers receive consistently exceptional service while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment. You will manage an experienced team responsible for servicing a growing client base via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, while also providing support and backup to our external sales team.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of Customer Service Representatives
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve customer service procedures
* Monitor team performance and ensure service standards and deadlines are met
* Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally
* Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless customer outcomes
* Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in customer service
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer service management role
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
* Able to work autonomously while managing competing priorities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm and effective under pressure, with strong problem-solving ability
* Confident computer skills; SAP experience highly regarded
* Experience in metal roofing, sheet metal, or related products preferred but not essential
