The role
Randstad is currently seeking several experienced Executive Assistant APS5 to join a high-performing federal government team. Labour Hire | NSW | 1 month with the possibility of a 12 month extension.
Position Description
- Provide high‐level executive support to two senior leaders, alongside administrative and secretariat support to committees, branches, and projects
- Work effectively under limited guidance to manage daily operations and workflows
- Manage complex calendars and high‐volume email inboxes with discretion and strict attention to detail
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including room and video conference bookings, catering, paper collation, agendas, and minute‐taking
- Proactively assess, prioritise, and action a high volume of incoming papers, emails, and phone calls
- Provide direct supervision and line management to an administrative support staff member
- Arrange, manage, and acquire travel; process straightforward financial tasks like credit card reconciliations and invoices
- Draft, proofread, edit, and collate corporate documents, utilising business systems for record‐keeping and clearance processes
Key Capabilities
- Proven experience managing inboxes and diaries for senior leaders with high discretion
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and maintain an adaptive mindset in a fast‐paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to maintain productive relationships across all organisational levels and with external stakeholders
- Ability to interpret circumstances, policies, and guidelines accurately to determine the best course of action
- Capability to meet the standards outlined in the corporate integrated leadership framework
