Bennji is growing. And this role is proof of it. We've created this new Senior Collections Specialist position to keep pace with our expanding commercial loan book, and we're looking for someone ready to make it their own.
This is a standalone role with real weight behind it. You won't be slotting into an established team or following someone else's playbook. You'll be building the function, setting the standard, and growing alongside a business that's genuinely on the move.
About the Role
You'll own a commercial arrears portfolio from end to end — from early‐stage contact and repayment negotiations through to enforcement referrals, insolvency proceedings, and security realisation. You'll be across PPSR searches, letters of demand, and liaising with solicitors and receivers, while keeping everything watertight from a compliance standpoint (NCCP Act, Privacy Act, ASIC, AFCA — you know the drill).
This isn't a call centre role. It requires real commercial acumen: reading financials, assessing security positions, and crafting recovery strategies that are both practical and legally sound.

About you
You:
* Must have 3–5+ years in commercial debt collections
* Are energised by autonomy. You don't need a crowd to do great work
* Can hold a tough conversation with a company director while keeping the relationship intact
* Know your way around insolvency processes, PPSR, and enforcement mechanics
* Hold (or are working toward) a Cert IV in Credit Management or equivalent
