About the role

As a Risk Analyst within Line 2, you will play a pivotal role in embedding a strong risk-aware culture across RACQ. You'll focus on fostering a proactive, self-reporting approach to operational risk and ensuring effective governance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Conducting Line 2 monitoring and assurance over risk, control, incident and issue management.
* Delivering accurate and effective monthly risk reporting.
* Championing continuous improvement in assurance, risk management and reporting.
* Influencing and engaging with first-line stakeholders to advocate, coach, and support effective risk practices and behaviours through strong working relationships.
* Providing support and guidance to colleagues within Line 2 on risk management practices.

About you

* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an enquiring, resilient mindset.
* Experience in risk, compliance or internal audit, ideally within financial services or other regulated industries.
* Ability to build relationships and influence decisions through well-reasoned arguments.
* Proven expertise in controls testing, assurance, and risk reporting for executive and board audiences.
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and act with courage when issues arise.
* Solid understanding of regulatory environments and strong organisational skills.
* Experience working with risk management systems and proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including Excel.
