We are seeking a passionate and skilled Centre Cook to join our dedicated team at Modern Family Early Learning in Westcourt, QLD. As a part-time role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for the children in our care, ensuring they receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.
What you'll be doing
* Plan, prepare and serve healthy, delicious meals and snacks for the children
* Ensure all food preparation and storage adheres to food safety and hygiene standards
* Maintain accurate records of menu planning, food ordering and inventory
* Collaborate with the Centre Manager and Educational Leaders to cater to children's dietary requirements and preferences
* Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality
* Experience working as a cook in an early learning or childcare setting
* Excellent knowledge of nutrition, food preparation and food safety
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Passion for providing high-quality care and education for young children
