Jenner & Co is partnering with one of its repeat clients to source their new Logistics Manager here in Sydney.
The purpose of the role will be to manage the distribution center and freight operations efficiently related to Australia and New Zealand. Optimising costs and services for different brands and channels.
Key responsibilities
* Managing DC organisation in the DC according to business plan and objectives
* Manage logistic costs according to budgets and principles
* Promote health and safety culture and ensure safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
* Local unit EHS reporting
* Partnering with Sales; Negotiating and liaising with sales and BAs to meet business objectives
* Managing logistic service providers related to freight including financial responsibility & compliance
* Meeting service level requirements agreed with Sales and BAs
* Drive continuous improvement and Cost2Serve optimisation from logistics perspective as part of structured CIP program
* DC compliance and audits: DC to meet ISO –certificate requirements
Experience & knowledge
* 5 – 10 years in a role with similar responsibilities
* Holistic E2E value chain understanding including financials parameters and drivers both in BtB and BtC environment
* Experience of managing operative team
* Experience of working in an international business environment
* Knowledge about ERP systems and analytics tools.
* Continuous improvement and Lean
