About the Role
A new opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the team. Reporting into the Senior Category Manager, Technology, this role is responsible for implementing and managing sourcing activities pertaining to the Digital category, engaging with relevant stakeholders to focus on delivery of value, innovation, cost reduction and mitigation.
You will:
1. Identify and support initiatives which reduce costs, waste and unproductive practices
2. Support category spend visibility and insight through available data
3. Actively engage with stakeholders throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process, ensuring alignment of objectives to build a clear understanding of business requirements for third-party goods and services
4. Manage sourcing activities, prioritising and rebalancing against business objectives
5. Be responsible for developing the total cost of ownership strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk from changes in markets (e.g. technology developments, supplier consolidation)
About You and Your Skills
Our ideal candidate will have an interest and understanding of the technology landscape, as well as previous experience working on system integrations, technological transformation projects, and software licensing.
You will also have:
1. A related tertiary qualification, ideally in commerce, supply chain management, law or property
2. Competence in Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and e-procurement tools/systems
3. Highly developed commercial experience gained in large commercial/ FMCG/ Retail enterprise/ banking/ consultancies
4. Strong business acumen and negotiation skills gained in major projects and contract negotiations
5. Deep value chain management knowledge including the ability to look for value beyond savings via efficiency and quality benefits available through technology
