Personal Care Worker (PCW)- Community Home Care

The Role:
We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Personal Care Workers (PCWs) to join our team in the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their career in community care, with a focus on providing high-quality care to veterans and their families.
Flexible and Varied Shifts (Including Split Shifts)
We offer a range of casual hours across a rotating roster. Split shifts and afternoon availability are mostly required. Flexibility across afternoons is highly valued, and shift patterns will vary to meet client and operational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care and assistance to clients in their homes with activities of daily living, such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
* Assisting with the prompting of medication.
* Providing emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
* Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
* Adhering to infection control and occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
* Monitoring clients for changes or concerns in their health, wellbeing, and behavior, and reporting appropriately to our Clinical Team.
* Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A current First Aid and CPR certificate, Manual handling certificate and Medication assistance competency or be willing to obtain these.
* A Certificate III in Individual support or equivalent.
* Experience working in the healthcare/support industry.
* A compassionate, kind, and caring approach to working with clients and their families.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving and time management skills.
* A current driver's license and a reliable vehicle. This is a community-based role, which means you may be starting at your first client and travelling between clients' homes throughout your shift.
