Network Security Expert
We seek a skilled Network Security Engineer to develop and implement network security tools, threat models, and risk assessments.
This role requires expertise in firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and more. The ideal candidate will excel at multi-tasking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess the ingenuity to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement network security solutions
* Produce threat models and assess risk around existing configurations
* Provide subject matter expertise on network security, firewalls, and industry best practices
* Manage firewall configurations within the enterprise network based on operational requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 3+ years of network security experience; OR 5+ years of network security experience in lieu of a degree
* 1+ years of experience securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and/or APIs
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Strong understanding of network security technologies, including:
o Firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper)
o Network IDS/IPS solutions
o Network monitoring solutions (NDR)
* Python programming and automation ability
* Familiarity with networking protocols and the OSI model
