The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality - one of only two in the southern hemisphere.Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.About the RoleThe JBS Riverina Plant is currently seeking an experienced Night Cleaner to join the team. Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor, our Cleaners carry out both post and/or pre-production cleaning across the entire facility requiring the use of open plant cleaning systems (OPCS), hoses, hot water and chemicals to chemically treat and sanitise the facility in preparation for the processing of food products.Your key responsibilities will include:Effectively delivering a clean area each shift both visually and micro biologicallyTaking responsibility for own personal protective clothing, uniforms and equipment issued or provided by the companyComplying with site safety and personal hygiene standardsComplying with correct chemical procedures inclusive of applications, quantities and handlingIdentifying and reporting damage, safety or equipment issues prior to and during hygiene activitiesCarryout out work with integrity and professionalism ensuring outputs meet the required standardsComplying with all training and proceduresParticipating in all mandatory training relating to health and safety, hygiene and environmental issuesResponsibly managing waste or chemical spills in a way that does not breach environmental policiesReporting all injuries in a timely mannerAbout YouPrevious experience with cleaning/hygiene within a food processing environment advantageousAbility to work to deadlines and time constraintsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to work safely around hazardous chemicals and hot waterAbility to work in hot, wet and dirty environmentWhy work for JBS Australia?Access to heavily discounted JBS productsHealth insurance discounts with Bupa and Medibank PrivateOngoing training and career development opportunities
