About the role
Sisters Nursing Services is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Mount Barker, SA. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals with diverse needs. This casual position offers the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.
We have range of morning and evening shifts available.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light household tasks
* Engaging clients in meaningful activities and outings to promote their social, physical, and emotional wellbeing
* Advocating for client needs and collaborating with the broader care team to ensure a holistic approach
* Maintaining detailed records and reporting on client progress
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 6 months of experience in a disability or aged care support role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
* A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
* A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS and disability support principles
