About the Role

The successful applicant will have a minimum 7 years' relevant experience in building management and facilities management, with expertise in:

* Leading building management and maintenance for assigned assets to ensure priorities are met in accordance with agreed management programs and budgets.
* Capturing and asset tagging all building assets to maintain high standards.
* Implementing processes and procedures to enhance FM operations across hard and soft services.
* Providing high-quality reports on EM external service delivery in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

The applicant will provide strategic recommendations to the Precinct Facilities Manager on EM processes, procedures, and policy impacting business delivery. They will also develop an annual facilities management performance and improvement plan for assigned assets and support the Precinct Facilities Manager as needed.

About You

* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent facilities management qualifications.
* Extensive experience in contract and contractor management, including professional working relationships.
* Operational and facilities management experience with building services and infrastructure in a large property portfolio.
* Experience in building services project management, financial management, budget setting, work prioritisation, and performance tracking.
* Highly developed leadership qualities, interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills with excellent customer service track record.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and develop solutions. They will also have knowledge of relevant building standards, proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and relevant computer applications, and previous experience in the Tertiary Education Sector is desirable.

Additional responsibilities include managing external service provider contracts, providing guidance and mentoring to new staff, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and responding to emergencies. The applicant will work closely with Associate Dean Rural and Manager, Rural Clinical Campuses, and other stakeholders to achieve goals.
