Operational in Melbourne and offering opportunities to work on new‐build, heavy refurbishment and fit‐out projects for a diverse range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Education and Hospitality.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit tenders from client brief to tender submission.
* Evaluate and review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness.
* Participate in tender negotiations and attend tender interviews if required.
* Coordinate tender handover to the project team.
* Prepare budgets based on tender submissions.
* Assess and price contract variation orders.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 5 to 10 years of post‐graduate experience in estimating.
* Proven ability to tender on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong understanding of construction methodology, trade scopes and estimating principles.
* Ability to read and understand plans.
* Excellent interpersonal, client and subcontractor management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
* Excellent organisational and time‐management skills.
* Experience with Jobpac, Cubit and Buildsoft software advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
