About the Role
Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer where you'll play a vital part in ensuring our facilities operate efficiently and effectively.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance and facilities services, contributing to a safe and well-maintained environment and making a positive impact within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining all plant and equipment, adhering to health service policies.
Conduct repairs and maintenance across the health service.
Ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and regulations during equipment installation and maintenance.
Promote a safe working environment by adhering to Work Health Safety legislation and safe work practices.
Participate in risk identification and minimisation processes.
Support accreditation requirements as directed.
Be prepared for occasional out-of-hours and on-call work.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
Significant experience in maintenance or a relevant trade qualification.
Skills
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Building and maintenance skills (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, painting).
Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse customers.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Problem-solving skills with a knack for fault finding.
Experience
Proven background in a variety of maintenance activities, including building, grounds, and equipment upkeep.
High level of computer literacy and administrative skills.
Knowledge
Understanding of relevant standards and legislative requirements.
Familiarity with chemical safety and OHS&W principles.
Knowledge of quality systems.
Other Requirements
Current SA Driver's Licence and willingness to drive.
Applicant Information
This full-time contract requires working across Peterborough and Orroroo sites, 3 days at Peterborough and 2 days at Orroroo. Job share arrangements will be considered for suitable candidates.
