The Role
This role is a 24 Month Contract.
The ICT Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems within an organization. The role involves a strong focus on cloud computing, particularly in the Azure environment, as well as expertise in Single Sign-On (SSO), VMWare, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra. An advantageous understanding of SQL databases and Citrix is considered beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Computing: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions with a primary emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
2. Single Sign-On (SSO): Configure and support Single Sign-On solutions to enhance user authentication and access control.
3. VMWare: Administer and maintain virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
4. Active Directory: Manage and enhance the Active Directory infrastructure, including user authentication, group policies, and security settings.
5. Microsoft Entra: Utilize Microsoft Entra for enhanced identity and access management within the Azure Active Directory environment.
6. Windows Server: Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments to support organizational operations.
7. Support: Provide technical support for ICT systems, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely manner.
8. Design and Deployment: Collaborate with teams to design and deploy ICT solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry best practices.
9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all ICT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate efficient troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and compliance with organizational standards.
Advantageous Skills:
10. Understanding of SQL databases.
11. Familiarity with Citrix for virtualization and remote access solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
12. Proven experience with cloud computing, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
13. In-depth knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
14. Proficiency in VMWare virtualization technologies.
15. Strong expertise in Active Directory administration, including Microsoft Entra for identity and access management.
16. Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
17. Technical support experience with a focus on problem-solving.
18. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design and deployment of ICT solutions.
19. Strong documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
The ICT Systems Engineer is expected to be proactive, adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders while meeting the high expectations for documentation and system performance.
