Join to apply for the Product Delivery Manager role at Chrysos Corporation
Here at Chrysos we combine science and software to create technology solutions that are changing the global mining industry; both from a productivity and environmental impact perspective.
Just like atoms and machines, we believe that everyone is different and how individuals come together is what makes us successful. Headquartered in Adelaide and with team members based in Australia, Europe, Africa and North America, Chrysos Corporation’s diverse team of scientists, engineers and industry specialists are coming together to build technologies to provide rapid, accurate and safe ore analysis for the global mining industry.
The company’s flagship technology, PhotonAssay™, steps around centuries-old chemistry-based assay methods to deliver true ‘atom-counting’ analysis for the measurement of gold and other high-value metals. With successful global installations, Chrysos is taking PhotonAssay™ to customers around the world – Chrysos could take you to places that you might not have even imagined yet. There’s opportunity around every corner and the support to help you achieve your goals.
About The Role
The Product Delivery Manager will drive the end-to-end delivery of a small number of product development projects from ideation through to operational handover — while providing a level of technical expertise during the project.
With a typical 70% delivery and 30% technical split that flexes by stage, this role suits engineers who want to run the program whilst retaining technical depth in their discipline and broadening their breadth of expertise supporting critical design decisions.
What You Will Do
- Project Delivery: Build and run the delivery plan (schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, resources) for assigned projects keeping them credible, visible and in line with the Chrysos Stage Gate process. Actively drive the team members to ensure project targets are achieved.
- Technical Depth: Experience as a senior engineer with real-world experience building complex electro-mechanical systems and ability to draw on technical depth in their field of expertise with the breadth of their broader engineering experience.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary project teams encompassing engineering, physics, software, technology, and operations, ensuring effective communication, collaboration and seamless project delivery.
- Resource and Risk Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks using appropriate tools and systems.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project performance and metrics to ensure milestones are met, outcomes are achieved, and continuous improvements are made.
- Safety First: Have an eye and voice for safety and contribute to ensuring a safe work environment for all. Demonstrated experience in including core safety and compliance considerations into new product development processes.
- External Partnering: Work closely with key partners & suppliers for the development of the next generation of PhotonAssay™ Max analysers.
- Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within project teams, promoting creative problem-solving and high-impact results.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Stage Gate new product development and introduction process at Chrysos.
Who you are
- Delivery: Demonstrable track record of delivering successful current products to market or manufacturing processes into operation. Ability to identify and overcome barriers to success and willingness to lead by example and 'pick up the slack' in a technical area when the project demands.
- Education: A tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronic or Mechanical engineering or a similar complex technical field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of engineering development processes as well as product development methodologies, with relevant domain knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering, systems engineering, or scientific instrumentation.
- Project Management: Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and to performance requirements using traditional, hybrid or agile project management methodologies.
- Leadership: Skilled in leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability across diverse disciplines.
- Innovation and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to address complex technical and business challenges with creative, data-driven solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional skills in presenting technical and commercial information to diverse stakeholders and maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Emotional Intelligence: High level of emotional intelligence, enabling effective conflict resolution, empathetic communication, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Budget and Resource Management: Competence in forecasting and managing project budgets, resources, and schedules efficiently while tracking and mitigating risks.
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a global business and across diverse cultures.
- Able and willing to travel both interstate and internationally (subject to Australian Government travel restrictions).
