Description
This is a part-time role (minimum 25 hours per week) that can be tailored to your schedule—e.g., 9 am to 2 pm with the option to work from home two days per week. The position will initially commence as a 12‑month opportunity.
Responsibilities
What will your day look like?
* Support Payroll Processing: Deliver end‑to‑end fortnightly payroll and maintain accurate employee data, ensure all activities comply with RFDS policies, procedures, Awards and Enterprise Agreements, provide timely, accurate payroll advice to employees and leaders, support end‑of‑pay, month‑end and year‑end processes, including reconciliations
* Reporting & Projects: Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, including WGEA submission support, assist with annual remuneration increases
* Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Participate in internal payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy, identify process improvement opportunities and support system optimisation, contribute to business planning, policy development and payroll process enhancement
Qualifications
* 1–3 years of experience in a similar payroll role
* Certificate‑level qualification (if applicable)
* Ability to interpret organisational policies, procedures, industrial agreements and relevant legislation
* Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
* Demonstrated capability in report development
* Experience with payroll systems and HRIS
* Confident skills in Excel reporting
* Strong communication, customer service and attention to detail
* High level of accuracy in all tasks
