We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep of our Robina community and help ensure the buildings, equipment and grounds remain safe, functional and beautifully presented for residents and staff.

About the Role
Working closely with the Maintenance Officer and Community Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the community.
This is a hands-on and varied role that supports the smooth operation of buildings, equipment and outdoor areas.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assisting with preventative maintenance programs across buildings, equipment and infrastructure
* Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
* Maintaining grounds, walkways, drains and car parks to a high standard
* Ensuring communal areas remain safe and free from trip hazards
* Assisting with planned maintenance schedules and record keeping
* Maintaining safe storage and management of tools, equipment and chemicals
* Supporting furniture moves and event set-ups when required
* Monitoring and maintaining stock of maintenance supplies
* Supporting compliance with Work Health & Safety requirements
* Assisting with maintenance response to urgent or unexpected issues

About You
You are a hands-on, practical person who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working in a community setting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance or handyman work
* Experience using tools, maintenance equipment and chemicals
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
* Experience in electrical, plumbing, air conditioning or similar trades (beneficial)
* Full driver licence
* Police Check or willingness to obtain one
* Full Australian working rights
Experience working in retirement communities, hotels, large residential buildings or facilities maintenance would be highly regarded.
