Operations Supervisor – Vehicle Logistics
We are seeking an experienced and results‐driven Operations Manager to lead our vehicle logistics and storage operations. This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of vehicle inventory management, yard operations, PDI coordination, transport scheduling, compliance, and team leadership within a high‐volume automotive distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage daily operations of the vehicle storage and distribution facility
* Oversee inbound and outbound vehicle logistics from port to RDC and dispatch
* Ensure accurate inventory control, VIN tracking, and stock reconciliation
* Implement and monitor PDI processes and quality control standards
* Manage damage reporting, claims processes, and compliance documentation
* Coordinate transport providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
* Optimise yard layout, storage efficiency, and workflow processes
* Drive operational performance, cost control, and service delivery KPIs
* Ensure full compliance with WHS and safety regulations
* Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse and yard staff
About You
* 5+ years' experience in automotive logistics, vehicle distribution centres, or port operations
* Proven leadership experience managing teams in high‐volume environments
* Strong understanding of vehicle handling, PDI standards, and damage control processes
* Strong capability in process optimisation and workflow design
* Ability to establish standardised yard operating procedures to improve efficiency and eliminate duplicated handling and unnecessary movements
* Experience managing transport coordination and supply chain workflows
* Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability
* Advanced organisational, reporting, and problem‐solving skills
* Proficient in inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel reporting essential)
* Experience managing EV vehicle storage and battery maintenance protocols
* Exposure to OEM or importer vehicle programs
A hands‐on leader who can balance operational control with strategic planning. You will take ownership of performance, accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction while ensuring vehicles are processed efficiently and dispatched damage‐free.
