The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Peer Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be a person with a lived experience of mental issues, substance use and recovery. Experience accessing Mental Health or Alcohol and other Drugs services as a client (public, private or primary care).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the peer workforce through the provision of operational and professional supervision.
- Provide professional, client focused, high-quality support to mental health clients and support persons (families, friends & carers), whilst ensuring compliance with industrial and legislative provisions aligned to meet business needs.
- Provide advice in strategic, operational and human resource management, utilising a well-developed level of specialist knowledge and high‐level communication and problem‐solving skills.
